Ta\u00f1edo has been with DreamHost for over three years, and from the beginning, the culture stood out to her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ta\u00f1edo started her journey at DreamHost in Technical Support but noticed a pattern in the tickets she enjoyed most: WordPress issues. The more she helped customers troubleshoot their sites, the more fascinated she became with how WordPress works beneath the surface.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, she supports a wide range of customers, from small business owners to larger online platforms. Her goal is simple but powerful: to help customers feel confident when they leave the conversation. \u201cOur goal is first-time resolution,\u201d Ta\u00f1edo said. \u201cIf they contact us again, we hope it\u2019s for a different issue.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the biggest learning curves for Ta\u00f1edo was using SSH (Secure Shell) for troubleshooting. In her previous roles, it wasn\u2019t a primary tool, and at first, it felt intimidating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c[SSH] It\u2019s not easy at first, but once you get through it, it\u2019s faster and more efficient.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With help from her captains and teammates, SSH became an essential part of her workflow allowing her to troubleshoot efficiently without unnecessary delays. When experimenting with new tools, Ta\u00f1edo often tests changes on her own DreamHost website first, ensuring mistakes happen on her side, not a customer\u2019s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Channeling Her Inner Penelope Garcia<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Outside of work, Ta\u00f1edo loves binge-watching TV series and is a huge Criminal Minds<\/em> fan. While she admires characters like Emily Prentiss, there\u2019s one character she feels especially connected to during a tricky troubleshooting session: Penelope Garcia.\u201cWhen I\u2019m troubleshooting, I feel like Garcia,\u201d Ta\u00f1edo laughed. \u201cI have to find the culprit: is it the plugin, the theme, the code?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just like Garcia narrows down suspects, Ta\u00f1edo systematically identifies what\u2019s causing a website issue. \u201cInstead of finding the criminal, I\u2019m finding what\u2019s breaking the website.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ta\u00f1edo\u2019s Keys to Staying Grounded<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

When it\u2019s time to unwind, Ta\u00f1edo\u2019s focus shifts from websites to family. She lives in the Philippines with her older sister, Kathy, and their parents. She loves to travel and explore new places, but finds her center at home. The sisters are incredibly close. So close that Ta\u00f1edo jokes they\u2019re practically twins. Along with their younger sister, Ivy, they spend their free time on food trips, long conversations, and regular milk tea runs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe eat, we talk, we share everything. If we\u2019re stressed or upset, we talk it out, and then we\u2019re okay.\u201d Those moments help her recharge and bring balance to her days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Caregiver at Heart<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

One fact that surprises many people: Ta\u00f1edo is a nursing graduate. While she didn\u2019t end up working in a hospital, her instinct to care for others never left.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe\u2019re not born knowing everything. If you want it, you study and work hard for it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That mindset helped her transition from nursing to web hosting, and ultimately to WordPress support where compassion and education matter as much as technical skill. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
